Day 1 Schedule:
9-10AM – Introductions, course goals & terminology
10AM-12PM – “All Hazards” approach & 5 pillars of preparedness

Day 2 Schedule:
9-12PM – Pet first aid & CPR for pet professionals

Day 1 Syllabus: This course will prepare individuals owning/operating a pet services business (daycare, boarding, grooming, training, etc.) to build out a broad emergency preparedness plan. Lessons are taught through description, explanation, story, examples, video/images and exercises. At the conclusion of the course, students should be able to apply the all-hazards approach to emergency preparedness, develop and implement an Emergency Action Plan and have next step goals to apply at their business.
Day 2 Syllabus: This course will prepare individuals working or volunteering with animals to identify and manage a variety of common pet health conditions. Emphasis will be on the most common and severe life threatening conditions. Lessons are taught through description, explanation, story, examples, video/images and data. At the conclusion of the course, students should understand and be able to safely manage an animal experiencing an acute illness or injury & identify and treat conditions listed below:

Will I receive a CPR certification?
Yes. Certificates are emailed to participants after the seminar directly from Ready Pet Education, which can be saved and printed.
Are participants’ dogs allowed?
No. Participants’ dogs are not permitted at this seminar.
What is provided during the workshop?
Snacks, coffee, water, and lunch will be provided.
Do I need to sign a liability waiver?
Yes. All attendees will sign a liability waiver at check-in on the first day of the seminar.
